There’s not a whole lot of heavy context here aside from wanting to be in the sea at this time in my life (but y’know, alive) and maybe my wondering what kind of mothers whales are, and what their calves would say about that. I merely think whales are beautiful and fascinating, and though gray whales were local to me at the time, I’ve yet to see one in person. If it means they get to live in peace, I’m very OK with that.
