Another moment of Internet obsession led to me finding a very cute, striking bird and strongly desiring to pay tribute to its “birb”-ness. There is something extremely soothing about painting birds, even in watercolor which is still something of a rogue medium for me sometimes.
Also, what a thrill to have negative space speak so loudly and purely!
